We’re proud to announce that Reverba Global, an IQVIA business, has been nominated for the 2026 Prix Galien Patient First Award for its Patient Experience Engine, an enterprise operating framework.

Introduced this year, the Patient First Award recognizes excellence in clinical research, clinical trials and patient-centered care improvement initiatives that integrate patient voices into how research and care are designed, conducted and translated into better outcomes.

The Prix Galien Awards are among the life sciences industry’s most prestigious honors, recognizing outstanding innovations that improve human health. Established in France in 1970, the Prix Galien has grown into a global awards program celebrating significant advances in medicines, biotechnology, medical technology and other areas of healthcare innovation. The Galien Foundation carries forward this tradition through its mission to foster, recognize and reward excellence in scientific innovation to improve the state of human health.

Reverba Global’s nomination recognizes more than two decades of advancing the role of patients and creating new possibilities for them to serve as ongoing partners throughout the healthcare journey. The company’s Patient Experience Engine combines patient networks and councils, compliant practices and certifications, scientific exchange and enterprise technology platforms to help integrate lived experience across clinical development, medical affairs, patient support, commercialization and lifecycle management.

“Being named a nominee for the inaugural Prix Galien Patient First Award is especially meaningful because putting the patient voice at the center of healthcare has been the foundation of Reverba Global from the beginning,” said Cheryl Lubbert, CEO and Co-founder of Reverba Global. “We have seen again and again that when patients are given opportunities to share their experiences, connect with one another and help shape the decisions that affect their care, the impact can be profound. We believe biopharmaceutical companies should incorporate patient input early and often throughout the product lifecycle, engaging them as partners in an ongoing dialogue rather than seeking their input only at select moments. That continuous partnership can help shape better experiences, better decisions and ultimately better outcomes.”

Founded in 2002, Reverba Global was built around the insight that patient perspectives were underutilized in drug development and healthcare decision-making. In 2007, the company pioneered the first compliant patient-to-patient mentor program, creating a model through which trained patients living with complex diseases could safely support others while operating within rigorous pharmacovigilance, privacy, training and compliance requirements.

The company subsequently expanded this approach into an enterprise-wide model for continuous patient partnership. Today, the Patient Experience Engine supports approximately 30 biopharmaceutical companies, 70 active patient networks and 15 active mentor programs across multiple therapeutic areas. Health Stories Project, Reverba Global’s direct-to-patient community, includes more than 80,000 opt-in members and provides an ongoing channel for patient insights and recruitment. reverbaBRIDGE, the Engine’s operational and technology backbone, supports recruitment, client portals, dashboards, compliance integration, AI-enabled opportunities and analytics.

The impact can be measured not simply in engagement, but in outcomes. In a neurodegenerative disease program, patients with mentor connections achieved 30% higher treatment initiation rates. In a pulmonary arterial hypertension program, mentees demonstrated 24% higher persistence, with 93% remaining on therapy at four months. In a rare disease access program, hub-integrated mentor scheduling increased completed connections by 46% and reduced time to schedule a connection from approximately 15 days to four days.

The Prix Galien Awards recognize outstanding innovation that improves human health. The 2026 Prix Galien Awards Ceremony will take place on October 29, 2026, in New York City.
